Quality Improvement

This one-hour continuing education course is designed to provide the basic concepts of quality improvement (QI) in emergency medical services. It will provide a brief history of quality improvement and the basic steps of the quality improvement loop. It will discuss how to begin a QI program, how to design the studies, how to examine the data and how to determine an improvement plan. Finally, issues such as documentation and confidentiality are covered. This course is appropriate for both BLS and ALS providers.
