Jeff Schneider, MPA, EMT-P, has been a paramedic in the private and public sectors, an EMS Chief, a Fire Commissioner, and Chief of the State of California’s water rescue team. After retiring, he served as Executive Director of California’s largest paramedic school and is now CEO of a continuing education school.

Initial Treatment of Organophosphate Poisoning

This one-hour continuing education course will discuss the current concepts of managing organophosphate exposures. This will include anticipation of possible exposure in seemingly unrelated events, early recognition of symptoms and management of the client in the prehospital and emergency department setting. Emphasis is also placed on containing the offending agent, preventing additional exposures and disposal of wastes.
